Poet's Lodge

Poet's Lodge is such a beautiful place to stay! We loved having our own beach and dock! It made swimming so easy. The screened in porch was the perfect spot to watch the sunset! I think I had every meal on that porch just taking in the view. I can't wait to come back!

Poets Lodge is a wonderful location to enjoy days in the sun on the large grassy lawn or you can jump right into the lake for an invigorating swim. The camp is comfortable with a warm rustic character and a working antique stove/oven. The nice screened porch that faces the lake is a perfect spot to enjoy the breeze while watching the sunset. There is also generous room for parking. Being so close to Haines Landing and the OG makes grabbing a sandwich then putting your boat in the water really easy.

Big yard for kids to play. Sandy beach and a wonderful Porch to enjoy the lake. I enjoyed the fire pit down by the lake as well. What it needs is comfortable beds and porch furniture. Then it would have 5 plus stars.

The Poet’s Lodge Cabin is not fancy, but it is comfortable and in a great location being right on Mooselookmeguntic lake. The screened in porch facing the lake is a very nice bonus. Sunsets can be easily seen from the back porch. There is quick access to the Oquossoc Grocery and Bald Mountain. While the cabin has no internet, we found we did not need it anyway. It forced us to really disconnect.

Beautiful location. Walking distance to Bald Mountain Camps where we had family staying was very helpful. Sunsets were amazing. Use of the canoe was great. Overall good stay.

Thanks to everyone at Morton & Furbish Vacation Rentals for helping set up our stay at the cabin. Their information updates made the entire process easy and seamless. The cabin itself was very nice with nonstop views of the lake from the screened-in porch. Our only real issue was the out-of-date box springs and mattresses in all of the bedrooms.  Amazing place to spend some time and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Thanks!

We have stayed at Poet's Lodge for two years now. The cottage itself is a little bit shabby, but you can't beat the lakefront!! The screened porch is fantastic for relaxing, dining, enjoying the view and listening to the loons. We will be back!

We love the the unit due to it's location and size and use it a base for our annual fishing trip to the area. the one negative is are the cooking utensils which could be upgraded a bit since we like to do a lot of own cooking. they are all pretty old. Overall a very good stay and would do it again.

Our third year at the cabin - perfect location on Mooselookmeguntic Lake, the cabin is cozy and has everything you need. There is a large yard with plenty of room to play and a sandy beach as well as a canoe. Beth, Melinda and Sara from Morton & Furbish are wonderful - they are so personable and accommodating. A perfect vacation all around!

We just returned from a week's stay at Poet's Lodge. We plan to rent again next summer. The camp was reasonably appointed but future renters take note that there is not internet connection (not so terrible!) and you'll want to bring your own beach towels. The shower has great water pressure and it was nice to have laundry in the basement. The kitchen does need new sets of glasses, etc., but we improvised and used paper products.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate us under changing conditions. They were extremely helpful and we woud rent again from them for sure.
