We had a great time staying here. Direct access to the water was nice and shallow so great for kids to splash around. The customer service by Morton & Furbish was great - very responsive and responded to some restocking requests when we ran out (paper towels, toilet paper).

Well secluded off the main ATV trail with pristine water views but also simultaneously being only a 5-10 min drive to the grocery store, restaurants, down town, etc. The space was wall kept and clean. Beds were soft, cozy. Plentiful hot water with great pressure. Although it does not have air conditioning, the natural breeze kept the space comfortable. The host was very responsive and accommodating. 10/10 for this wonderful slice of Maine heaven.

This place was a magical home for several days with our toddler. His excitement was palpable and he really loved hearing the loons on the lake. We were so close to town which and all of the experiences added to the magical/nostalgic feeling of summer. Would definitely recommend!

Haley pond haven provided perfect spot for our group of multiple adults and children to fully enjoy Rangely’s winter time adventures. From skiing to building igloos on the snow covered pond, all the people in our group ages 3-50 had an amazing time. Cooking and sharing meals in the beautiful great room was a significant highlight of the house. And the basement was a great spot for kids to sneak away while grownups socialized. Would definitely stay here again.

Another wonderful family Thanksgiving in Rangeley. If you're traveling to Rangeley anytime from November 1st to April 30th?, don't forget to pack your boots and hats and mittens. I don't think we've ever been to Rangeley during Thanksgiving (our 15th year) without seeing some snow. This weekend graced us with close to 8 inches. The house was big and bright with a wonderful view of Haley Pond. A local called the location "the business end of the pond" and he didn't mean in a mercantile kind of way. If you're looking for escape from noise and people and stress, you will certainly find it at this location. And if you're adverse to stairs, you might want to know there are quite a few to get to the first floor, especially if you are lugging enough food for 10 people for 5 days plus Thanksgiving dinner. A good time was had by all.

House was really really nice and one of the best that we've rented. The very private waterfront property offered easy snowmobile access to trails and a quick ride to Saddleback. Highly recommend to any large family or group of friends. Would definitely rent again. Thank you to the amazing team at Morton & Furbrish for recommending this home for us!

The house was very clean and well equipped. We loved seeing deer walk around the property, along with good parking for trailers and trucks. Easy access to the snowmobile trail we would definitely stay there again!

The Darnell house was great, we had two couples with four girls under age 7 and had a blast. The house is spotless and very private, we had moose and deer tracks in the driveway every day. Right on the snowmobile trail, which in the summer was a great place to go for a morning run. Saw a bald eagle fly by while having a drink on the deck one evening. Haley pond is great for kayaks and for the kids to fish. The service at Morton & Furbish was great, we needed wood for the firepit and they had a load out in a couple of hours. A great place to relax.

We have stayed at Darnell three times. It is a great location close to town , yet quiet and in the woods. We kayaked on Haley Pond and saw osprey and bald eagles right from the boats and from the deck of the cabin. We heard moose in the woods next to the cabin. Excellent fly-fishing is 30 minutes away on the Magalloway River, which is also a white-water rafting location. We caught 15 salmon and trout in four hours on Rangeley Lake. The kids loved hiking Cascade Falls, found five minutes from the cabin. They also enjoyed the Pine Tree Frosty, minutes from the cabin. I appreciated the antique saws, skates and taxidermy within the cabin. The cabin décor is excellent and surprisingly rare for many of the homes in the area. I would , however, mention that things are not as "New" as claimed. We suggested several items for repair. Also, the road in, Depot , was full of ruts...better bring your truck! Things are the same as they were five years ago when we stayed at this cabin. Also, there was a charcoal grill, but no gas grill as advertised. ( Not a problem for me, but not as advertised.) Darnell is a great place, but it could be the best with some polishing. My wife really wanted to use the hot tub!
