Wonderful condo. Other guests should know that you don't have to have a ticket for your first ride up the ski on/off lift. Tell the lifty that you're at a condo and need ride up to get a ticket. They'll let you ride up to the base area/lodge and get an RFID pass.

Morton & Furbish Vacation Rentals Response: We're so glad you enjoyed the condo! Thank you for sharing that intel about the ski lift/tickets :)

Very nice little place, close to the lodge and skiing. There's a wonderful little deck with beautiful views of the mountains. The kitchen is small but has everything you'll need with a nice sized dining table. The beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets. The living area was great for relaxing, watching tv or chatting with each other. There's a wireless phone charger (nifty in case someone forgets their charger!) which was a surprise. We brought our dog. Thankfully, she is well mannered and quiet. Some of the other places didn't allow pets for understandable reasons. There were no strong perfumed smells, like often happens with laundry detergent in some places. As someone who is chemically sensitive, I was very grateful. All in all, this was a perfect place for our skiing vacation to Saddleback. Morton and Furbish are great hosts.

Our family of four, joined by two extra adults, and not forgetting our large dog, had a fantastic experience at this Saddleback Lodge condo. It offered plenty of room for all of us, making us feel right at home. The bedrooms were both spacious and comfortable. The room with bunk beds was an instant hit with our small children, while the other room provided a restful space for the extra adults. We also appreciated the ample storage space throughout the condo which kept our belongings organized and out of sight. The kitchen was well-equipped, even including a slow cooker, a nice touch that allowed us to enjoy homecooked meals. We loved gathering around the large dining table and the open concept living space made our family feel connected, whether we were cooking, eating, or relaxing. The view from the porch was truly remarkable. The condo's location next to Saddleback Lodge offered stunning scenery that was a pleasure to wake up to every morning and wind down to each evening. Cleanliness was top-notch in the condo which made our stay even more comfortable. The reliable internet service was a plus, keeping us connected throughout our vacation. We enjoyed the condo's proximity to a variety of hiking trails during our summer stay. The downtown Rangeley area was also easily accessible, being just a short 10-minute drive away. Additionally, we noted the convenient covered entry with space to store skis, ideal for winter vacations. We look forward to returning to this condo for future family trips, hopefully making it an annual tradition. It was more than just a place to stay; it was a comfortable, welcoming home that contributed to our memorable vacation.

Beautiful on slope condo
Our first visit to Saddleback mountain and our accommodations were amazing! Perfect ski in ski out unit with fireplace and amazing views. Very convenient to lifts and close to the main lodge, we were able to work remotely as the wi fi was great. Property management team provided great service, especially allowing us to extend our check out time. Looking forward to visiting and staying at south branch again soon!

Wonderful!
We loved staying in this cozy condo! Great ski in/ski out location! We had two adults, 2 kids and our labradoodle - perfect size for us. Condo was very clean and comfortable. Ended up staying in/cooking dinner each of the 3 nights we stayed. It was great having access to the ski lockers right below us - couldn't have been easier. Great experience!

Perfect Location!
This condo was a perfect location for ski-in and ski-out at Saddleback! A cozy vibe inside and a lovely view of the mountain. Easy storage of gear in downstairs lockers, convenient parking, a functional kitchen, and comfortable beds were other highlights. We were unable to access email due to slow WiFi speed in the condo but the lodge is only a short drive away if you need to access the internet. Highly recommend!

A Perfect Getaway!
A Perfect Getaway with Stunning Views and a Great Variety of Hiking Possibilities From the moment I drove down the graveled hill and saw the condo with the mountain and lake views beyond, I knew this break (alone for once—without husband or puppy) was just the ticket. The end condo is perfect: plenty of comfortable, well-equipped space: kitchen/dining/living area with French doors straight out onto a balcony with grill and Adirondack chairs and fantastic views of forests, mountains, lake, and ever-changing light and skies; the light and airy comfortable master bedroom with the same glorious views meant that I never drew the blinds but woke with the morning to spectacular sights; the bathroom looks out onto forests and is between the two bedrooms; and there's a washer and dryer, board games, TV, DVDs. (Poor phone reception because of the remote location became a plus when I settled into the groove of being away.) I came for some time alone, and to hike and paint. And I hiked and sketched all day, every day, in sunshine and in rain. It was fantastic—not least because there are so many hiking options, beginning right at Saddleback, and from the many trailheads in the area. For example, I did as so many others do and hiked Bald Mountain in Oquossoc, a short, steep hike rewarded by splendid 360-degree views from the fire tower atop the granite. (Wear good boots, take a stick if you're past the age of bounding from boulders.) Intrigued by the story of nineteenth-century Cornelia “Fly Rod” Crosby, I hiked part of the eponymous Trail from her hometown of Phillips (check out the extraordinary Henry Moore-like water-sculptured rock formations in the river as you cross the bridge from town) along the river to the Sandy River Railroad Park, through the woods on footpaths and ATV trails, to Toothaker Pond and Madrid and back—just a small (14-mile) portion of the much longer trail. And then went to the DarkStar Fabrics in town for some gorgeous aboriginal cloth. Other than the friendly mother- daughter owner team, I met no one the whole day. I later hiked another section of the Fly Rod Crosby trail at Saddleback, along with Rock Pond and Midway Pond (which both have canoes—some with life jackets—on the shore for anyone to use) and to the Rangeley Overlook. Early another morning I enjoyed the spectacular Cascade Stream Gorge Trail, and lounged on the smooth boulders, my feet cooling in the waters. I sat out an hours-long downpour, then hiked to Mountain Pond. I hiked the South Bog Conservation Area, all the (short) Hunter Cover Wildlife Sanctuary trails, and more. For anyone able-bodied, there are trails galore, short and long, arduous and gentle. There's even a Rangeley Lakes Trail Center on the road to the condo, inviting visitors to trails crisscrossing the mountain. Other than on Bald Mountain, I met hardly a soul: perfect! I returned home—to work, spouse, and pup—refreshed and determined to repeat the sol experience annually. This condo is a perfect base and it was a delight to return to it every evening.

Great condo. Loved being able to our dog. Enjoyed easy ski in- ski out. Quick walk to lodge/pub for pizza and a beer. Really enjoyed well- groomed trails at outdoor center just 2 miles down the road.
