Another wonderful vacation
We've come to 16 Knoll at Saddleback Lake Lodge for several years. We love this spacious cabin with its beautiful view of Saddleback Mountain and the lake. The porch, the pool table, the comfy beds, and the well-stocked kitchen all make this cabin a winner.

Another great stay!
We love 16 Knoll at Saddleback Lake and Lodge! This is our third visit, and this year we stayed for two weeks. The cabin is immaculate and has plenty of comfortable space across three levels. We were especially grateful for the screened porch this year, as it allowed us to enjoy the view and the sounds of the loons despite all the rain. We also played pool, watched movies via the Roku, and enjoyed swimming and boating when it was dry. And our trip would not have been complete without visits to Quill Hill, the Pine Tree Frosty, and the Outdoor Heritage Museum in Oquossoc. As always, the rental team at Morton and Furbish was helpful and good-natured. Another great stay! PS -- There is now great cell service at SBLL. Three or four bars, on ATT.

Another wonderful week!
This was our second vacation at 16 Knoll Lane at Saddleback Lake Lodge. We had another wonderful week enjoying the lake and all it has to offer -- kayaking, swimming, and watching a loon family and a bald eagle from the shared beach. We also enjoyed walking and picking berries on the property. The cabin is immaculate, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Our teens enjoyed the basement, where they could stay up late and sleep in. The adults enjoyed the living room with its open view of the lake and the mountain, along with the screened porch. We were so glad for the picnic table on the porch, as we ate most of our meals there, enjoying the breeze and the beautiful view. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the beds are just right. We hope to come for two weeks next year!

16 Knoll Lane
Excellent views of Saddleback lake and the ski trails on the mountain right from the living room area. Highly recommend driving up Quill Hill, we even saw a moose on the road going there. The museum in Oquossoc made for a calm afternoon when there were spotty showers one afternoon. We made use of the pool table downstairs many nights and the kids used lots of the games and toys provided. The only thing I could see that would have been nice is putting any size TV downstairs. We brought a Nintendo Switch but didn't want to play it late at night in the living area because others were sleeping. All around great place to stay and relax. 5 stars.

Fantastic!
The camp is great with everything you could want or need. The view makes it perfect- the lake and Saddleback Mountain right in the front yard!! We could not have been happier here, and didn't want to leave. We'd love to come back someday!

Ski cabin with pool
Ok, that title was misleading... It's actually a ski cabin with a pool table, but how great is that? Compact, cozy, with three floors of living space. I stayed there alone very comfortably, but it could certainly accommodate one or two families instead (note: two full bathrooms). The view out the front is Saddleback in all her glory and the expanse of Saddleback lake, inviting you to ski or trudge across it. You are close to town, close to the mountain, but feel like you're deep in a woodland enclave. My only serious complaint, and this is not the fault of the homeowners or anyone else, is that the cell service is non-existent. Fix that and it would be perfect. The Dish TV and wifi work pretty flawlessly, but for those of us who use their phones to communicate and stay informed, it is worth knowing about the lack of cell service. It was not a terrible deprivation once you get used to it, but that's why I gave it only 4 stars.

Stillness
Cannot say enough about the 10 day stay at 16 Knoll Lane. The lure was the lake and the solitude but the house/cottage has to be mentioned. It was fully equipped with everything we needed and then some! A treat to come back to after a kayak adventure or a swim with the loons! Perfect in every way! We will be back!!

We didn't want to leave!
We all had a wonderful vacation. This home is spacious, well-appointed, and immaculate. The kitchen has everything, right down to round cake pans. The screened porch is shady throughout the day and has a small picnic table and comfortable rocking chairs, so it became THE porch for our friends also staying at Saddleback. Even on the warmer days the house was cool, thanks to a ceiling fan, floor fans, and a window fan in the loft. Our four teens loved playing pool, swimming, fishing, hiking, and boating. They never wanted to leave the property, and they are hoping we will return next year, not simply to Saddleback, but to 16 Knoll. Also, thank you to the women in the rental office of Morton and Furbish, who were unfailingly helpful, pleasant, and kind in every interaction.

Such a wonderful place
We arrived for a wedding and awoke to freezing temps & the areas first snowfall of the year. Was a wonderful surprise and made the scenery and views even more spectacular. The view from the couch of the lake and Saddleback is hard to beat. Really enjoyed the woodstove and how cozy and charming the cottage is. Had fun playing pool while listening to the stereo. Even managed to catch a beautiful brook trout off the dock!

Vacation
We spent April vacation here. The last time we were here was in 2001 in a different cabin. Wow" It's been a while. The family grew too big and too quick. Almost feels like we never left. We have been coming to Saddleback Lake Lodge from 1991 - 2001 and enjoy ed it all, even with the weather was bad. Thank you for allowing us to stay. It's beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.

I love this cabin
I love this cabin - thank you for letting me enjoy it for the entire month of July! My father's family helped settle Rangeley in the early 1800's - so I always feel a draw to come back to my Maine roots. We have seen a total of 12 moose. You have a doe with twin fawns down in the marsh outside your picture window.

The view is what we'll miss the most!!! Very different from the city life. The kids saw a moose for the first time. I quote "It was the coolest thing!!!"
