Another great vacation on Saddleback Lake SBLL12
Very comfortable cabin just a few steps from Saddleback Lake. This was our third time at SBLL12 and we look forward to returning there next year.

Wonderful getaway
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Saddleback Lake, enjoying the best that Summertime Maine can provide! Our unit was clean and comfortable, and the town of Rangeley has many fun shops to browse, and tasty food to sample! Special thanks to the loons for their daily appearances and nighttime serenades.

A comfy cabln with a great view of Saddleback Lake
A perfect getaway-from-it-all cabin with a magnificent view of Saddleback Lake from the screened-in porch. Comfortable for 4 people, 6 if you have two people who want to sleep in loft. Great bathroom, well-appointed kitchen. We just booked again for 2024, what better reference could I give?

This was an awsome opportunity to get away and spend time with the family. The only complaint was the rain. The area had many of fun things to do with the kids. The hikes provided novist but challenges for both kids to middle age grammy. The shops were great fun! We were able to get a glimpse at some Maine wildlife too. We all kept nurished at nearby restaraunts and the cabin made it easy to cook and eat in too. Our cabin was comfortable, neat and spacious, we played games and watched movies. We look forward to our next stay.

Fall Foliage in Rangeley
This was our 2nd stay at this cabin on Saddleback Pond. We love the cabin and was glad for the propane heater. Mornings were cool...42 or so, but then there were the glorious 75 degree days and we lounged on the dock . We even had visits from a pair of loons and an otter! The leaves were at their peak. Breathtaking. We relaxed, grilled at night, read, and visited some of the local eateries. We even made it to Quill Hill for a 360 degree view of the area and all the colors! No moose sighting this trip... oh well. We'll be back!

June in Rangeley
Rangeley is beautiful in June. The lupines were in full bloom. We saw 2 moose, many deer and a very healthy porcupine...all at a distance. Oh, and the loons were so vocal in the evening... We loved that. The cabin was perfect and we really enjoyed the screened in porch which faced the lake and the ski runs over at Saddleback Mt. The lake was a bit cool for swimming. We drove up Quill Hill for great vista shots. The town was starting to get busy and we took advantage of the shops, ice cream, and a few eateries. Loon Lodge for dinner is a must, but you will need a reservation. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well appointed and a hot, strong shower!!! And there were plenty of quilts and blankets for the chilly nights. We stayed 4 nites and never turned on the TV. We will be coming back to Rangeley again.

Great Getaway
Our family needed a weekend away and we found a slice of paradise here. Wonderful screened in porch with water view, super comfy beds, great access to the water with the canoe that came with the house. All paddles and life jackets were available but we had brought our own. The kitchen is very well stocked with spices, utensils and grilling gear. Our only issue was no WiFi ( as cellular does NOT work here). The agency got the WiFi turned back on but it still didn't work. But they did power up the landline so in an emergency we would have access to help. This was a great stay at a great cabin. We'll be back for sure.

'A cabin in heaven, and the best real estate agency experience I have ever had.'
The cabin that my colleague and I were guided to by Morton & Furbish when we were attending a conference/ vacation in Rangeley was idyllic. The cabin was beautiful, and beautifully situated. The furnishings and decor were beautiful as well. The kitchen and housekeeping supplies were more minimal. The amazing staff from M&F spent an afternoon locating a teapot and an iron for us(!!!!) The entire experience of the cottage, the surroundings, the people I encountered while swimming in the lake were superb. The staff from M&F made us feel like we were being taken care of by extended family. When we had some fellow conference attendees over to visit, they were in awe of the beauty of our environment. We were too!

Relaxing at The Wayside
I vacationed at Saddleback many years ago and wanted to return. The cabin I used to stay in wasn't available so Beth & Susan found us a comparable property. Upon arriving at #12,a loon greeted us within the first five minutes. It was so wonderful to see Saddleback Lake Lodge again even though there were workmen using power tools at another cabin plus a septage truck cleaning out the septic tank. We went right out in the kayaks, enjoying a couple hours on the water before coming back in to enjoy the woodstove and have homemade soup for dinner. The cabin has new kitchen counter tops, sink and appliances. It was all really clean. We really liked the coffee pot, griddle and toaster! It was tough to find lids to match the pans and there were no baking pans but I had brought one from home, just in case. Placemats to protect the table would be nice. The bathroom and master bedroom were nice and the bed was comfortable. The linens smelled really pleasant and I liked the flannel comforter on the bed. We couldn't get the bedroom propane heater to work and gave up after several tries, but we ended up not needing it It was really helpful to have the phone as neither one of us had cell phone service. The scenery and leaf color were gorgeous and it's a great plus the folks at the rental company are just a phone call away. Each evening we read after dinner until bedtime. The lighting throughout the entire cabin just isn't adequate. Also, there were a lot of flies. The screens on the porch need to be repaired so they can't get in. The peace and quiet in a beautiful setting, as well as the ease with which arrangements were made for the property were my favorite things. My least favorite was dealing with all the flies but I didn't let them get the best of me! A 3-night stay just doesn't do the place justice- a week or three (!) would have been so much better! We'll be back to Saddleback Lake Lodge, you can count on that!
