This freestanding A-frame is designed with both comfort and style in mind. Ski access couldn’t be easier—you can glide right from the front yard onto the Smelt Streamer trail and ski back home whenever you’re ready. And with the Saddleback Base Lodge just a short walk or ski away, enjoying a meal or après-ski at the Saddleback Pub is always within easy reach.

From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by warm, thoughtful décor and open-concept living spaces that feel bright, airy, and welcoming. Polished concrete floors with radiant heat keep the home cozy, offering a soothing reward after a full day on the mountain. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for effortless meals, whether you’re gearing up for the day or winding down in the evening. Comfortable beds, quality linens, and a well-planned layout make relaxing feel completely natural. A stay here offers the perfect balance of mountain luxury and slope-side adventure.

Sleeping Arrangements: First Bedroom Main Floor King, Second Bedroom Upper Level Queen, Third Bedroom Upper Level Two Twin Bunk Beds and Trundle (5 Twins total). Sleeps up to 9 guests.

Location: Just below the Saddleback area base lodge with trail access to Smelt Streamer. 8.0 miles to downtown Rangeley, 15.0 miles to downtown Oquossoc, and 0.6 miles to Saddleback.

Saturday Parmachenee Community Campfires: Organized community campfires are usually held from 4 PM to 6 PM on most Saturdays. BYOB, renters, owners, and kids of all ages are welcome!

Our stay at the A-frame was fantastic. The best part about it was being so close to the trail—we skied onto it from just outside the front door. The house itself was great, too. Very family-friendly with toys, games, and gear (a high chair, a white noise machine, and kid plates, cups and utensils, for example) geared toward younger kids. We will definitely try to stay here again on our next trip to Saddleback.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

Our stay at this ski-in/ski-out A-Frame was nothing short of perfect! The thoughtfully designed cozy, yet modern interior made it a delightful retreat after days on the slopes, and the convenience of stepping right onto the mountain was unbeatable. Modern, well appointed, step out the door onto the trail… awesome!

Had a great stay at Parmachenee A-frame #10! Modern, newly constructed, cozy A-Frame right on the trail. Well appointed with everything your family could need. Plenty of space for entertaining with the large kitchen/living room area. In-floor heat is great for melting snow that finds its way in. Everything is new and the place was super-clean. The mountain was great, kids had fun and it was so nice to be able to pop in and out for lunch or a dry pair of gloves! Thanks to Morton and Furbish for setting us up with this excellent on-mountain rental!

Easy and comfortable ski in ski out rental

This home was well designed for an easy ski vacation. The set up can easily accommodate 2 families. Radiant floor heat was so nice to have after a long day of skiing. All ages are able to ski to the home as it is off a nice green circle trail. Beds were comfortable and clean. Kitchen had everything we needed for family meals. There were games, books and a few kids toys. We highly recommend this rental.
