Description Description
Niboban Cabin #4 - Camp Rough Enough is a charming 1,000-square-foot vacation rental in Rangeley, Maine, offering a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty. The highlight of this cabin is its incredible enclosed front porch, where guests can relax and take in stunning views of Rangeley Lake. Designed to feel like a true home away from home, this cozy cabin provides the ideal setting for a peaceful and memorable getaway in the heart of Maine's lakeside wilderness.

This cabin is located at historical Niboban.  The original Niboban Camp was built sometime prior to 1915 and was at one time used as a farm.  In the 1920s, it was once a girls camp.  In the early 2000s, the original buildings at Niboban were torn down and new cabins and a lodge were built.  Guests have access to the main lodge which offers ping pong, games, books, puzzles, and movies on DVD with a TV and DVD player.

There is a shared swimming cove and a swim float, with one of the few sandy beaches on Rangeley Lake.  Rangeley Village and downtown Oquossoc are just 7 miles away in opposite directions.  Niboban has a connector trail to ITS84, so guests may enjoy snowmobiling directly from their cabins - to nearly 150 miles of groomed trails, with connections to New Hampshire and Canada.  Cross Country Skiing and mountain bike trails are available nearby at the Rangeley Lakes Trails Center.  There are public tennis courts in both downtown Rangeley and downtown Oquossoc.  Close to Saddleback Mountain!

Sleeping Arrangements: First King Bedroom, Second Bedroom with Two Twins . Sleeps up to 4 guests.

Additional Sleeping Arrangements: One Queen pull-out couch in living area.

Location: On the southern shore of Rangeley Lake near South Cove. 7.1 miles to downtown Rangeley, 7.5 miles to downtown Oquossoc, and 13.3 miles to Saddleback.

FAQs:  This property includes a charcoal grill available mid-May through mid-October. This property includes access to the shared amenities for all Niboban Cabins, including a beach waterfront, docks for swimming, fire pits, a swim float, and the main clubhouse. Please note: Niboban #4 does not have a private mooring, and boats may not be left on the docks overnight. You are welcome to use the docks for loading and unloading. If you plan to bring a boat, please contact us for information on boat slips available from local businesses on Rangeley Lake.

Pet Friendly: This home will welcome pets to enjoy the property.

Discounted Saddleback Lift Tickets: Proud to offer discounted lift tickets. After booking, you will receive more information.

Snowmobile Access: Niboban has a connector trail to ITS84, so guests may enjoy snowmobiling directly from their cabins - to nearly 150 miles of groomed trails, with connections to New Hampshire and Canada.

Fantastic Stay
The cottage was clean with comfortable furniture and everything needed for a week’s stay. The screen porch was a highlight with a fabulous view and sloping lawn down to the lake and dock.

Very peaceful location and serene. Lovely view from the front porch. The air was fresh and clean. I enjoyed watching the family of pileated woodpeckers and hearing their voices. The walk to the end of the pier was always so refreshing and breezy. I would hang off the ladder and submerge myself to the waist. My did that feel good! The smell of the outside air would clear my senses and revive me. And of course it was always difficult to leave this place and takes time to adjust to city life again. I know I will be back next year, and until then, I will wait patiently. P.S. of course parking was excellent, unlike the city streets. :)

The cabin was perfect. I can't wait to come back next year and only wish I could rent it out all summer! Clean, comfortable and quiet. Just what a summer vacation at the lake should be.

Quiet Peaceful Family Time
Sweet little cabin that was just right for a weekend getaway for our family of 4. We enjoyed the proximity to the lake, the small beach access, the game room and the peaceful quiet atmosphere. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, the screened in porch was nice to keep our outside gear on and to eat meals. It was clean and well kept.

Camp Rough Enough
The house was beautiful and everything we hoped for! Docking was perfect and the launch was right around the corner at the state park. There was so many things to do in Rangeley Maine including Quill hill, Acadian seaplane tour, bars and restaurants, and of course the beautiful lake with gorgeous sunsets.

Feedback
The cabin was well provisioned and very clean. Thanks to your housekeepers! My one suggestion going forward is, the dock is very wobbly on the last section - should be reinforced.

Niboban No. 4
Really nice spot, very clean and well-stocked. Loved the dock, which was virtually private, and the screen porch. Also dug the old-school pinball machine in the main lodge/office. M&F did a great job getting it ready. We'll be back!
