We had a great time staying at Mahara 1. It was a peaceful spot that was great for the dogs and the proximity to the lake was awesome. The house was very well appointed with everything we could need for our stay. We walked down to the lake every morning and evening and saw deer almost every time. We loved being close to Oquossoc village as well as only 25 mins from Saddleback. Would definitely recommend! Just a note that during the winter all wheel drive or 4-wheel drive is recommended. We didn't have an issue, but someone staying at the neighboring house had a Corolla and wasn't able to make it up the driveway.

Stayed here with some other guests for a weekend for a wedding. Everything was clean and comfortable, including rocking chairs and nice loveseat in the living room. Also a grill on the side porch but we didn’t use it. There were fans and an AC unit which makes the room very comfortable in the summer downstairs is also nice and cool. I was upstairs in the loft and slept very well although if people go into the kitchen you can definitely hear everything going on in the kitchen/living area. The showers and bathroom were nice and spacious. There was a lot of condensation on the floor in the bathroom in the basement which is a minor slip hazard but not too big of a deal. There is a TV with some DVD’s and books for entertainment. Check in and checkout instructions were very easy. There is sugar/spices/tea in the cabinets and lots of mugs and plates and bowls! We forgot shampoo and coffee creamer and the nearest grocery is a little drive but not too bad! Loved it and want to come back for real vacation! Also the M&F people on the phone were very nice :)

We rented both Marha 1 & 2 for Christmas and gathered 20 family members for the best holiday ever. The houses were comfortable and the set up worked well. There were ping pong tourneys , pool games and just all around fun during the evening while the great outdoors kept us busy during the day. The homes had everything we needed right down to a griddle for making breakfast for such a large group. We will definitely be back! Thanks!
