The Ultimate Place to Relax!
Our extended family came to Indian Point to reunite after the pandemic kept us apart for over a year and a half. We were looking for a home that had enough space and things to do for all 15 of us (including 6 tweens/teens), but at the same time felt cozy and welcoming. Indian Point far exceeded our expectations! The location is beautiful as it overlooks the lake...you have a spectacular view of the water from most rooms, and you can sink into the comfy cushioned Adirondack chairs on the deck to watch the boats, beautiful sunsets and moonrises. We were able to go out and explore the lake in the canoe and paddle boat that they have in their boathouse (where you can put the boats easily into the water.) We fished off of the dock, sat around the outdoor fire pit and made s'mores, relaxed in the jacuzzi, did puzzles in the sun room, and even rented a pontoon boat from the marina next door that we could dock right there at the house! The kids have plenty of space to play in the yard, and when you want to venture out there are a number of hikes nearby. It's a short drive to town or the local supermarket, which is wonderful. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked, which made the rental feel like home. Morton & Furbish rentals (and the owners, via M&F) were also extremely receptive and friendly anytime we called them with questions - this made the whole experience that much better. I think the best part about the experience for our family is that we could all relax in our own way in different spaces in the main house and cottage, or all together around the dinner table in the large open kitchen. This really is a special place, and we are grateful we were able to spend meaningful time together here - thank you!

We fell in love with Indian Point
My family and I fell in love with Indian Point the moment we saw it. It's the perfect setting for fun and relaxation, and we love the mountains of Maine. Indian Point's location on the lake has it surrounded by shoreline on three sides, which means incredible views and lots of light. All of the buildings are perfect and so set on this private peninsula. We appreciate the easy and relaxed comfort of the main house with its soaring ceiling, wonderful sun room, great kitchen, large bedrooms and awesome hot tub! Then there's the guest house with its wonderful historic detail that is rare, but also updated comfort everywhere. Our days are busy on the lake swimming, or in a kayak, on the paddleboard or water-skiing. We've enjoyed hikes, tennis, biking and just sitting on the porch with a book. There's great restaurants around and some nice places to buy local produce and supplies...as well as homemade pies. We are grateful to be able to stay at this lovely home and very special place. We hope to return to Indian Point again and again.

Exceptional large waterfront Rangeley compound
Our extended family from 9 months to 98 spent a magnificent week at this incredible compound on the waterfront of Rangeley Lake. When you first arrive, the grounds, the buildings and the lake views are breathtaking.Indoors and outdoors are in perfect condition.Everything you could want is available there from spacious rooms, well equipped kitchens, magnificent deck, lovely porch, light filled sunroom and much more. The dock was a favorite hangout and it was a treat to be able to put one boat in the boathouse for cover. Our family has been lucky to travel to many great places and was thrilled to spend a week here and would love to come back again and again! Our ten year old grandson when asked what he liked best about the week, even after learning to paddle board , said "the feeling I had when I first saw everything"! That sums it up.
