We enjoy the Cedarcliff home and property and have returned for several years. The property is perfect! Being on Rangeley Lake is very relaxing and the town and surrounding areas offer opportunities for outdoor recreational activities and exploring historical venues. Unique shops are always fun to check out. Morton and Furbish staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you!

Wonderful Stay
This is a wonderful lake house in a great location. It is appointed very well, with one exception - the beds in the upstairs left bedroom offer no support. Fortunately, our daughter and husband found that the other bedroom was fine. We especially appreciated the cleanliness and “no bugs” in the house. We also enjoyed the upper deck when it wasn't raining, and the enclosed porch when it was. It was also very nice to have our two-year old poodle with us. She, too, had a great time! All in all a wonderful week!

Cedarcliff
Cedarcliff is such a charming cottage. It has a very private waterfront which is wonderful for lawn games. We had a lobster bake outside on the picnic table and enjoyed the call of the loons. A perfect week in a beautiful setting!

4th of July
A perfect place to spend the 4th of July with family. We boated, golfed and swam. There was plenty of room to relax and enjoy each other!

Historic camp in a secluded location
I have stayed in many different camps on the lake, but this was by far the most special. It was like staying in a small museum/boathouse dedicated to the history of Rangeley. From the books on the shelfs to the art on the walls, to the sounds of the lake and the loons, it was magical. Being right on the waters edge allows one to feel like they're aboard a boat! The camp is well equipped, not fancy, but has everything you need. Privacy on a busy lake was a welcome bonus! We absolutely loved the location and would definitely return again.

Cedarcliff is a lovely home in an ideal location near town, but without the noise of traffic. The home has all of the amenities and is clean and well cared for. The large yard offers opportunities for outdoor activities or quiet time along the lake's edge. Hiking trails, indoor events, local restaurants and the like are nearby or within and hour's drive. Watercraft are available for a paddle on the lake. This location is pet friendly, allowing us to enjoy our vacation with our dog. Morton & Furbish Rentals staff are pleasant and responsive and we would highly recommend working with them to plan a vacation at Cedarcliff.

lovely location
A lovely location, private and yet nearby to both Rangeley and Oquossoc. Nice access to the water, very comfortable bed-1st floor, well appointed kitchen (no dishwasher). The 2nd floor open deck is great and the dock is easy access for swimming and boating. While we were there it was quite overcast weather and the house is a bit dark inside when there is no sun. The living rooms (one on each floor) are comfortably set up, good reading lights and also in each bedroom. It also had a very nice lawn, flat and good for kids to play and for our little dog.

Excellent Time
We had an excellent time at Cedar Cliff in Rangeley. We were pleasantly surprised to find this cottage to be the last cottage on a dead end road. Absolutely peaceful with a large yard and expansive views of the lake. The cottage sits right at the waters edge and is finished in wood beadboard and hardwood floors. The camp is larger than most rentals with 2 decks one on the 1st floor and one on the second floor. We had excellent weather so we did a lot of biking, hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, camp fires, bar b qing etc. There is plenty to do in the area when the weather is less than perfect. Museums, dining, shopping, site seeing, etc. We will be back, hopefully Cedar Cliff will be available.

Great traditional camp-very cozy on a rainy day.
We loved the large private lot-plenty of sun and shade. Great moonrises and loons are nearby every day - all day long. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We had a very relaxing vacation. We dealt with Melinda at M&F: very responsive and professional. We had everything we needed. The only drawback was the floating dock during the windy days; Otherwise it would have been a 5-star camp for us. But it's not a dealbreaker, as we will be returning next summer.

Classic Lake House
A very nostalgic setting which reminded me of childhood vacation homes. Lots of great woodwork, a bit funky layout but in a good way. House is practically in the water its so close to the shore. Nice yard, porch, deck, and dock. Perfect location between Rangeley and Oquossoc. Could use regular doors on bathrooms instead of louvered bi-folds. A fireplace would be a nice addition but the house heating system worked great.

Nice Cottage for the right Family
Depending what you are looking for this could be a great cottage. It is on the expensive side, so my expections were high. Pros - Quiet spacious lot, beautiful view of the Lake, clean, Golf Course within 1 mile, Downtown Rangeley is nice Cons - Fishing wasn't good (May have been the time of year?), No Grill (I actually went out and purchased a small hibachi to grill on), Swimming is not good for young kids - Rocky bottom and gets deep very quickly - Older kids could swim off the dock, but the lake was rough, so would have to be very good swimmers. There is a small sandy beach in town at the park 4 miles away. Overall it was a nice, quiet week away and Rangeley is a nice location.

A white house on the water
A lovely house, beautifully situated right at the lake's edge. Moonrises directly across the lake and sunrises to the left. Unusual camp in that it has two fully finished floors, the upstairs having the nicer bathroom. A lovely second floor sitting room with access to a front deck looking right down over the water. The first floor has a glassed in porch overlooking the lake, perfect for a quiet breakfast, lunch, or dinner. As my wife stated, it's like being on a boat minus with rocking. A walk-in beach makes putting a canoe in and out a breeze. Despite being close to a colony of camps on the left (the vestiges of the old Mingo Spring Hotel and outbuildings), there is a vacant lot forming a flat, grassy buffer at the site of the former Rosecliff house (just the right size for a game of catch or frisbee). The right side is protected by the aforementioned "cliff", making the spot lovely and quiet. Just the lapping of the water and the laughing of the loons.
