We have been coming to the Ark each summer for 10 or 12 years. The grandchildren-once toddlers-are off to college! It is the perfect spot, larger enough, close to the water, and yet quite private. The addition of a large gas grill has made cooking for our crowd even easier. We look forward to returning.

The Ark was the perfect place for our 12 person family vacation . The home is spotless and spacious . The views of the pristine lake , nightly sunsets from the house and porches are breathtaking .The beds are very comfortable . This is our 2nd year at the Ark …. Wow! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Rangeley is truly a little slice of heaven. Between our days swimming in the lake, evenings watching the sunset, and nights around the campfire, it was hard for us to leave. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with our family!

The accommodation were great for our group. We are a group of 14 guys from all over the US that get together every year for a hunting trip in Maine. The place was great in size for us, had the dinningrom space and large kitchen. It was immaculate when we arrived and the check in and check out was painless. Our early arrival time was not an issue and was granted without issue. We are planning on returning next year if possible. Great place, great location and I highly recommended this place for any large group.

This was our family's fourth year spending Labor Day weekend at the Ark. It was spectacular as always. Swimming, boating, fishing... the fun never ends. It is so wonderful to have a comfortable home to spend time with our entire family. We all look forward to another year at the Ark.

We have stayed at the Ark for 10+ summers, watching our grandchildren grow from babies to college students. We love the space, the proximity of the water, and the beautiful sunsets. This was our second year renting the Ark and it did not disappoint! It's perfect for our large family to gather and have privacy. The flat lawn and the shallow sandy lake was perfect for the kids to swim safely. The sunsets can't be beat! We hope to go back here again!

Our vacation at the ARK was fantastic . It provided our family of 11 the space for all of us to feel comfortable and relaxed : the home was spotless, the beds very comfortable , the lawn was a great space for wiffle ball and tag etc . At night we gathered around the campfire for s ‘mores and story telling . There is hiking and biking nearby .The lake was pristine and the natural beauty that surrounds the home is breathtaking . We enjoyed canoeing and kayaking . The town of Rangeley has everything you need for a memorable vacation . We had an amazing vacation here. The kids enjoyed the clear and calm water that they could walk out on safely as it stays fairly shallow for a while. We also had a great time catching many little fish from the dock and canoe. We hiked three trails all within 20mins of the house and had dinner and ice cream one night right on the Main Street. The stars were a highlight every night of our stay. Highly recommend!

We had a great week on Gull Pond at the Ark. There was plenty of room for 6 families. The grassy lawn, the many deck choices, and the sandy shallow beach was perfect for our little ones! We can't wait to head back next summer! Morton and Furbish has great communication as well. Highly recommend renting through them directly instead of going through a third party site.

Our large family had a wonderful time at “The Ark”. There was plenty of space for all 12 of us, and then some. The waterfront was perfect for little ones with the stretched sandy lake beach and clear water. Because of the unique cabin design of two living spaces combined, we had two kitchens, living rooms and multiple bedrooms. We'd highly recommend this vacation spot.

This is our 2nd trip to the Ark...and where we will return to again! Spacious is an understatement. We had 4 couples and a single with PLENTY of room for more....House was clean, neat, and tidy. This trip the weather got cool enough to turn on the gas wood stove in the evening which really heated the house up quick. Enough parking for 4 trucks and trailers - tight, but manageable. No complaints! Look forward to returning again....

Our family absolutely loves the ARK - we stay in both sides as we have a large family. It fits us all with room to spare. We used the canoe and paddled around Gull Pond. The loons are fun to see and we saw deer near the house. The large dining room table fits us all for family dinners and is the best part of the day for my Dad. Downtown Rangeley has great restaurants - especially Furbish - nice to sit outside! We rented ATV's and spent the day having a lot of fun. The Alpine shop and other shops have some great stuff. Overall a great vacation and a great place to stay.

This was a wonderful stay at the Ark! It was perfect for multiple families. There were many bedrooms and baths and even a very private space for the grandparents with a small bathroom and lake views! We felt that there were no items which were so fragile that we had to put them out of reach of little hands! A plus for sure! Everything was exceptionally clean with fluffy towels and smooth crisp sheets to add to the Luxery! The lake and surrounding area were so quiet Except for the loons calling at night! The beach area and swimming was also perfect for children as the water was warm and it was not very deep! This was a wonderful spot for small family reunions! The only item I would have wished for was a vacuum cleaner in order to Better clean up after ourselves! There is not one other thing that could have made our time together as a family more perfect! Thank you to the owners and Morton and Furbish! We loved it and would stay again.... in a heartbeat!

This rental is perfect for a large family or group. Plenty of bedrooms and the common space is so spacious. The outdoor space is open and flat and the sandy beach is perfect for little ones. We will definitely be back!

our family of 15 had a great stay. lots of swimming and kayaking. house very nice and quiet. The only down side is there is NO AC or gas grill. I was glad I brought our outside canopy as there is no cover from the sun outside.

My family and I stayed at the Ark 1 and 2 for about 10 days. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us to spread out. It was great to have two full kitchens, two sets of washers and dryers, and two full living rooms. We had additional family staying in another rental in Rangeley and when they came over, still plenty of room for evening dinners and sitting around chatting. The view from Gull Pond is wonderful.....it was a bit too cold to enjoy the porch and dock seating but we intend to return and get some use out of those and also getting out onto the water. Plenty of dishware and bowls, etc. to cook dinners - fully outfitted. The road in was great to get some exercise on in the mornings, everyone is very friendly. Just loved staying at the Ark and are planning on staying again. The owners really have decorated and made the Ark comfortable to stay in. The furniture in the living rooms are very comfortable! Just can't say enough about how great this accommodation is!!

This is a great place for families to reconnect. Plenty of space for privacy and yet room enough for all to gather together for meals, games and water fun. A nice sandy beach for the little ones and yet deep enough for those that like to swim. Canoes and kayaks to tour the pond or catch those fish. This was the best way to spend our 50th Anniversary--surrounded by my three children,there spouses and my many grandchildren. We will definitely be back!

This is our 5th year returning to the Ark. We love the house and all the green space for everyone to enjoy next to the water. The shallow sandy pond is perfect for children to splash and swim around in. It's easy location is convenient for running into town for lunch, shopping or to grab groceries. Recommend this home for large family gatherings: we had a 10 month old baby, newlyweds, and grandparents and everyone found a bedroom they liked. The "great room" had ample space for all of us to lounge, eat, play board games and capture the fantastic views of Gull Pond. The second part of the house we used as the 'quiet area' and that worked out perfectly. Both kitchens have ALL the amenities and then some....washer/dryer was also a bonus. Appreciated having the canoes and kayak on property and a fire pit for the cool evenings. Great rental. Thank you!

This is our 6th year staying at The Ark with our children and grandchildren. The house is perfect for our large extended family. The cousins love the "bunk room" With two kitchens, two living rooms, and the porches and the decks, we can all eat together yet spread out to read, do a puzzle, play board games, and of course, swim, canoe and kayak. The swimming area is great for small children, but we bring an inflatable raft and anchor it out aways now that the older grandchildren need a place to dive, and sunbath. We used to vacation on the larger lakes, but the camps were often set back and getting into town a drive. The Ark and Gull Pond suit our family. We love the sunsets and the loons.We will return next year.

This is the 2nd time my sportsmen's club has stayed here and each time we have been thrilled with the experience. The place is commodious, clean, well maintained and equipped. I think the beds were comfortable but we were all so tired after a day of fishing we could have been sleeping on rocks. We will definitely be back!

We had another wonderful vacation, 3rd year at the Ark!!! We love this place. My first time out in a canoe, my soon to be grandson-in-law took me out for a beautiful sight seeing ride! This house was beyond all my expectations. Everything and anything you need was here. We stayed for 8 nights and my children cried when they had to leave. It is the perfect location.......plenty of room for extended family or friends to come visit or stay all week. Six bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms. Simply amazing!!!

This home was well and tastefully furnished,comfortable, clean and neat. The location is convenient to Rangeley Village, but remote enough to be quiet. It was nice to have a couple of canoes and a kayak available to fish the pond for brook trout and land locked salmon. We hope they replace a couple of rotting deck chairs, but otherwise everything was perfect!

We celebrated our 50th Anniversary with our children and grandchildren at the Ark and Ark II. We had an absolutely marvelous time. The Ark is beautiful,spacious and very comfortable. It was so nice to be surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature, yet wonderfully peaceful and quiet with an absolutely gorgeous view of Gull Pond.
