Peaceful
Angel point is a wonderful home! Comfortable, well equipped, very quiet. The bedrooms are welcoming, full kitchen, beautiful deck. The loons are very active, come really close to the dock and call out all night which is heaven to fall asleep to. We also had a family of minks that hung around! Close to the OG which is important! Convenient to downtown Rangeley as well. The pond is very quiet no loud boats or partying. Great getaway.

Morton & Furbish Rentals Response: What a lovely review - thank you! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed 7 Angel Point and all the special touches that make it such a unique getaway. The loons and minks sound like the perfect company! Hope to welcome you back again soon!

Beautiful location with a great view of dodge pond and great amenities. The home is comfortable and spacious and the pond is great for kayaking and swimming. The property had board games, kayaks etc so there was plenty to do. The pool table and equipment had seen better days though and could do with new pool cues as most were broken/damaged. There are life jackets in the basement and the property also has air co/heating that we never used during our stay. Each bedroom also had fans in the closet which we did use and there was an iron and ironing table available as well.

Lovely, quiet spot
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was spotless, well-equipped, and very comfortable for our group of six adults and a toddler.

Great Family vacation
My family and I had a great time at Angel Point View. Our kids spent a majority of the week swimming in the lake or catching perch off the dock. The house is cozy with a nice open living area. And the deck is a nice spot to sit with a book and enjoy the surrounding beauty. The town of Rangeley is lovely. We enjoyed the many shops and took a float plane tour of the area. That was a big hit for our kids. The people are quite friendly. I suggest Moose Loop cafe for breakfast (try the pancakes and biscuit), and Pine Tree Frosty for ice cream. I also recommend Forks In The Air for dinner if you can leave the kids at home. Also hit the Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum in Oquossoc.

Angel Point View
I've reflected back on the past 20 years of renting cottages on lakes and ponds in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont for the purpose of rest and relaxation, working, and, of course, fishing for trout and salmon. After taking into account a large list of factors (distance to local town, peace and quiet, phone and internet access amongst others), I would have to say this is the best of the best - those little, little things like great cross-ventilation, bright and light even on dark days - or, as I said in an earlier email, I could find nothing wrong - the perfect spot. Definitely will be back next year - same two weeks if they are available. Of course the great service from Morton & Furbish adds even more value to the time there, being as accommodating as you are to receiving my Fed Ex envelopes and fax transmissions.

Angel Point is not at all bad
This is a very attractive and comfortable camp where we have stayed in previous years. A nice touch this year was the addition of wifi -- not particularly fast in downloading, but a definite plus that saved trips to downtown Rangeley. The camp itself is fine, well situated, and easy to get to, and Dodge Pond itself is a splendid setting. One suggestion for an addition to the well equipped kitchen: a cast iron skillet. The basement has obviously had some water damage and is damp smelling. That makes the sofa bed in the basement room less than attractive, but the upstairs rooms will sleep seven people quite comfortably. A nice camp, and we would rent it again.

A Perfect Rental
A++ rental. Rental service was great. Camp located on beautiful site with wonderful view of Dodge Pond. 15 minutes from Saddleback ski area. Access to snowmobile trails via the pond. Home was in great condition and very clean. Always felt warm with the wood stove providing strong heat. Nice stereo system but would like to have Ipod capability. Would definitely rent again.

Wonderful Family Memories
Our first year at angel Point View was wonderful. Our Family didn't want to leave we felt so much at home. We are now planning on making this a yearly trip. The mornings was our favorite time with the sun shinning and several deer feeding right outside the window. We thank the family for letting us stay in there home!

Tranquil location in the heart of the Rangeley Lakes region
Angel Point View is nestled in a private lot on the shores of Dodge Pond. Dock offers opportunities for recreation on the pond and perfect for jumping into the water and taking a refreshing swim. The property is very well maintained with plenty of amenities, beautiful inside and out, with room to spread out for our family of four. Morton & Furbish, the rental company, is very easy to deal with and provides 24/7 maintenance if needed. This was our third year vacationing in Rangeley, second year at Angel Point View, and we will be returning next year. In addition to the tranquility of Dodge Pond, where you can hear loons call at night, it is a short drive (~5-7 min) to downtown Rangeley with its shops and restaurants, as well as the public dock with a playground for the kids to unwind a bit. We also visited Lake Umbagog in New Hampshire (about an hour drive) and took a day trip to Canada (the border is 2 hours from Rangeley). The Lakeside Theater often has a throwback or current feature film showing, and Moose Alley offers bowling, if the family is looking for a way to spend a leisurely evening or if the weather is inclement. A great part of Maine to unwind for a week and forget your worries.
