Good Spots For A Picnic
Coos Canyon
Located 20 miles southeast of Oquossoc on Route 17. Great spot for a picnic, swimming, or exploring!
Smalls Falls
Located on Route 4 about 12 miles south of Rangeley. There are a number of falls and short trails along with picnic tables, grills, restrooms, and a great swimming spot.
Town Park
You can access the park off Main Street on either Lake Street or Park Road. There are a number of covered picnic tables on the shore of Rangeley Lake, as well as grills, restrooms,
swings and the town beach and boat launch.
State Park
The State Park is located on South Shore Drive just off Route 4 about 3 miles south of Rangeley. The 750 acre wooded park offers both swimming and picnic areas, restrooms,
hiking trails, and kids play area.
Hatchery Brook Trail
This is a short, flat walking loop about a mile long with picnic tables on the lake! From our office, head north on Route 4 towards Oquossoc for about 0.75 miles. After you pass Looney
Bin Variety and Moose Alley, turn left onto Rangeley Manor Drive. The Hatchery Brook Trail parking will be on the left.
Cupsuptic Lake Park
Located off of Route 16 just west of the Oquossoc Village area. Recent renovations to this site make it a perfect spot to take your family for the day and enjoy picnic tables and a nice beach for swimming. Small fee to enter this park.
Saddleback Mountain Base Lodge Deck
Picnic tables set up at the base lodge of the Mountain! Wonderful views of the Mountains and a pet friendly area make this a must try for a picnic! After you finish your picnic, you can also explore the nearby hiking trails at Saddleback!
