Get hooked on a weekend of fly fishing fun, community spirit, and outdoor excitement! From casting clinics to family activities, the expanded White Nose Pete Festival brings together anglers of all levels to celebrate the Rangeley region’s legendary fly fishing heritage.
Friday's Events - June 5th
Hall of Fame Ceremony, Reception, and Auction
- Time: 6:00 PM
- Location: Rangeley Inn & Tavern
- Admission: $20 per person | $10 for children under 16
- Includes light hors d’oeuvres and access to a cash bar.
- Highlights:
- Celebrate the induction of new members into the Fly-Fishing Hall of Fame.
- Participate in the live auction, with exceptional, one-of-a-kind finds.
Saturday's Events - June 6th
Festival Schedule
9:00 AM - Festival Opens
9:30 AM - Magalloway Conservation Project update by Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust at the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust conference room.
10:30 AM - Fly Fishing Coldwater Lakes and Ponds: Finding the Fish, Tactics, and Fly patterns. Presentation by Lou Zambello at the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust conference room.
11:00 AM - Story Time at the Rangeley Public Library. Join children's author Cathy Ballou Mealy as she reads her new book, Flyrod Was First in the children's room of the Rangeley Public Library.
11:30 AM - Favorite flies of the Rangeley Region. A presentation by Bob Romano highlights "Go-to flies of local guides and fly tyers" at the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust Conference Room.
1:00 PM - Casting Competition! Join us at the casting lanes for a fun and friendly competition, plus your shot at some great prizes!
2:00 PM - Raffle prizes are drawn; winners not present will be contacted via phone.
3:00 PM - Vendor show closes.
