The Maine Forestry Museum 2025 Annual Online Benefit Auction – August 8th
Now until August 8th, you can bid in the Maine Forestry Museum’s online auction to support this local nonprofit and take home some incredible items! From one-of-a-kind Rangeley treasures like “The Rangeley Lake Dragon” to Red Sox and Bruins tickets, ski passes, gift certificates, antiques, and more—there’s something for everyone! Shriner’s Parade – August 9th, 2PM
Line up begins at the Rangeley Inn at 1:00 PM, with the parade stepping off at 2:00 PM, followed by a community potluck dinner at the Town and Lake Motel, hosted by The Kora Renegades! More info here!
Tree ID & Wood Walk – August 13th, 10AM-12PM
Explore Maine’s scenic Saddleback Spur of the Fly Rod Crosby Trail in Dallas Plantation and deepen your connection with the forest on a free guided walk led by District Forester Julie Davenport, joined by Pete McKinley of The Wilderness Society. Perfect for families, landowners, and nature lovers, this walk offers hands-on learning about native tree identification, sustainable forest management, and valuable resources for land stewardship. Live theater event: The Mousetrap – August 15th/16th at 7PM and the 17th at 4PM
The Rangeley Friends of the Arts presents The Mousetrap, Agatha Christie’s iconic murder mystery filled with intrigue, sharp wit, and unexpected twists. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for youth (18 and under). The box office opens one hour before showtime, with full concessions—including beer and wine—available.
