Hosted at Saddleback Mountain located at 976 Saddleback Mountain Road, this event will be designed to be an exciting blast from the past. While the official lineup of events for the upcoming fun is pending, the pond skim, Motor Booty Affair, and Rewind & Grind Rail Jam have all been confirmed on the schedule much to the delight of guests. It’s an end of ski season party that you won’t want to miss out on that includes live music, BBQ grilling, and plenty of good company and good fun to go around. It might just be the best way imaginable to welcome in spring in style while saying good bye to the spectacular ski season that was.  

Celebrate International Dark Sky Week in Rangeley

April 16th, 2023 kicks off the return of International Dark Sky Week in Rangeley, Maine this spring. Starting at 8:00 am this event is enjoyed over the course of 5 subsequent days and comes with a lineup of activities that promote Dark Skies. Monday through Friday, participants can enjoy a poster exhibit downtown that will highlight the detrimental effects of light pollution. Tuesday will be a day dedicated to showing the film “Losing the Dark Short.” Thursday will focus on a special lights out event while Friday includes options for participants to take part in a thrilling virtual sky tour with host John Meader. Other activities that typically happen throughout Dark Sky Week in Rangeley include a scavenger hunt, photo contests, and an art exhibit just to name a few. 

Make the Most of the King of the Mountain Snowmobile Hill Climb

Those who are looking to participate in the largest snowmobile hill climb in the East will find it happening at Saddleback Mountain in Rangeley on April 21, 2023. Hosted between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm, this race is estimated to attract more than 600 participants across 24 classes. The event will also include a kid’s fun track in 2023. Registration for the event is required and space is limited so keep an eye on the event calendar! 

Take Part in the 6th Annual RuKaBi Race

Rangeley is always a place for visitors and locals to get out and explore nature. When spring rolls around, a little friendly competition is added into the experience! May 28, 2023 will see the return of the 6th annual RuKaBi Race in Rangeley. Beginning in Town Park at 10:00 am, this race stands for a run, kayak, and bike event that brings out the competitive spirit in all of its springtime participants. The race will include a 3.5-mile bike ride before starting a 1.5-mile kayak route followed by a 3.5-mile run to finish things off in athletic style. Prizes are awarded to all of the top finishers in the male, female, and team categories alike. Participants can register for $50 as individuals by May 26th or as a team for $75. Those registering as individual participants after May 26th can do so for $75 while teams can enter for $100. Day of registration can be done directly at the Chamber. This event is sponsored by the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce and is a fan-favorite annual experience in the area. Kayak rentals are available prior to the race but do note that participants must bring their own bikes to enter this competition.
