(RLHT) This trail gives you several different hiking opportunities. There are picnic tables and benches in case you want to sit and take in the beauty of the area. The trail along the stream is easily accessible for all. From this trail, take a short loop that is perfect for middle hikers, with a stream crossing (no bridge) that can be challenging. The trail ambles through a variety of wooded and bog areas, eventually returning you to South Shore Drive with a short walk back to the parking area. There is also a longer trail that continues two miles along varying terrain, ultimately reaching the shore of Rangeley Lake.
Directions: Take Route 4 South for 3.5 miles and turn right onto South Shore Drive. Continue for 5.3 miles until you see the sign and parking lot for the trailhead on the right.
