May 28, 2023 will see the return of the 6th annual RuKaBi Race in Rangeley. Beginning in Town Park at 10:00 am, this race stands for a run, kayak, and bike event that brings out the competitive spirit in all of its springtime participants. The race will include a 3.5-mile bike ride before starting a 1.5-mile kayak route followed by a 3.5-mile run to finish things off in athletic style. Prizes are awarded to all of the top finishers in the male, female, and team categories alike. Participants can register for $50 as individuals by May 26th or as a team for $75. Those registering as individual participants after May 26th can do so for $75 while teams can enter for $100. Day of registration can be done directly at the Chamber. This event is sponsored by the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce and is a fan-favorite annual experience in the area. Kayak rentals are available prior to the race but do note that participants must bring their own bikes to enter this competition.
