Even after the lifts have closed, returning home from the lodge and pub is a hassle-free ski or walk. During spring, summer and fall, explore the mountain bike trails just outside Maine Alpin Haus, traverse the woodland trails, or venture to the summit from your doorstep.

A four-season base for adventure, access to the Rangeley Trails Center for nordic skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking, mountain biking, walking, and wildlife observation is conveniently close by. Saddleback Mountain's summit (Maine’s 7th highest peak) and the Appalachian Trail are a little over a two mile hike away (the owners drew inspiration to build this home after their own Appalachian Trail thru-hike). Nearby, short strolls lead to ponds and waterfalls, and local maps and guidebooks are provided to assist in planning your outings or excursions to world-class paddling and fly fishing locations. 

Just a 10-minute drive away, the town of Rangeley awaits, offering a grocery store, bowling alley, and an array of restaurants and shops.
